I am down to less than 3 months before the wedding and I havent spoken with any of my vendors since i booked them!!!! Who do I have to meet with to finalize things with, and do I call them or do vendors contact us??? TIA!

I ended up calling mine instead of waiting for them to contact me. I didnt want to wait till the last minute for them to call me to finalize, I wanted to set up all the appts so I can get that done and over with which I did....and Im glad I did, b/c the closer the big day comes, the more time you will realize you DO not have.
ETA: The only one I had to wait to call me was my hall, otherwise, I called and set up appts. w/ Photographer, DJ and Florist.
Videographer--I dont have to meet with until the day of

I have a list of all vendors and when I plan on calling them (I've divided this 'task' between me and FI).
Our DJ just called (about a week before we were going to call). I expect we'll call or contact everyone else.

Do yourself a favor and call and confirm all your vendors and your hall. I have had some issues myself and better to be safe then sorry.

Times like this I'm glad we hired a DOC...this will be something else for her to set up! tooooo much to do....tooooo little time!

I called about 1-1/2 months in advance. Just make sure you have your lists together, for example your DJ may want a music list of what songs you want for certain dances, and certain songs you want for the reception and songs you definitely do not want.
Just make sure you are prepared for all that when you do your finalization meeting and also to find out how much more of a deposit they will want from you as well. So you dont have to make another trip and you wont have to see them again until the day of :)
IMO, its so much better to get these things out of the way.

I called all of my vendors and set up the final appointments for 3 and 2 weeks before my wedding. (I had initial meetings (searching) and preliminary meetings (booking/throw ideas out) with my vendors about a year ago.) Surprisingly ALL of my vendor's were appreciative that I waited until now to do my final meetings. I am the one who feels slightly rushed, but honestly it is ok.
If I had more time between the bar and my wedding I would have ideally liked to schedule the final appointments at the 4 week mark.
