Do I have a problem?

Okay so Id say the last 2 weeks I have been waaaay emotional......I thought it was because I had to take the dog to the vet and I was worried they might tell me hes sick or something (hes not, hes a perfectly fine dog). Im crying for no reason at all lately......For example...Friday night I came home from work and was watching Nanny 911.....I started crying.........I called my mom and told her I been crying for no reason at all.....she seems to think im stresses and over working myself with all my DIY's I want to do for the wedding.........
I just want to get everything done as early as I can so I wont be as stressed when the wedding gets closer...........
Please tell me that there are other people this has happend to so that I dont think Im loosing my mind?!?!?!!?

I have been emotional as anything lately, and I think I figured it out..it's not really the wedding so much as its that my time of the month is coming and I made an issue into something bigger than it was and I might have to have a confrontation, which I hate, so I get anxious about that as well as whether I'm going to work this summer, even for 2 weeks as offered (oy long story...im a teacher, hence the summer choice) Oh boy..now you got me started, but I feel better..spoke to a couple of friends tonight and now I feel a bit better..what I feel worst about is that FH thinks I'm mad at him...sorry!!! Feel better!!

Don't stress yourself over all the DIY projects. You have 10 months, so do one project at a time, ask for friends and family to help you too. Its not worth it to try and get it all done now so it can be done a while before the wedding, if its bringing you stress now...Hope you feel better and good luck

Thats what FH and my parents say.....I feel that since its my wedding and I dont feel right asking for help.....Even though my parents, sister, aunts, friends....even FH are always asking what they can do to help........I for some reason cant take them up on their offers. I took someone up on here for help with making a monogram and I felt absoutly horrible!!!

Maybe I should lay low for a few days with the DIY projects.............but I know that will last 1 day and then I'll be back at it.

Trust me your NOT alone!!! I was hysterical today I left work and never went back! I was on a mission for my invites and hit every road block...sometimes the DIY projects are more stress than they are worth! I may just have to order invites instead. I went to Sir Speedy....that's where you went right?

SOOOO completely normal!! Trust me, if you can believe it you'll probably get WORSE the closer you get to the big day!! Hang in there, it is stress. Try to take a night or two that you do NOTHING wedding related. I did that and it helped me big time.

it is def. normal to be stressed/upset. Planning a wedding is very stressful, especially if you have taken on many diy projects. You should not worry about asking people for help, especially if they are offering it! the likelyhood is that they WANT to help you. Most family members and friends do want to help you make it the best day of your life! If you dont feel comfortable asking someone to help with a big project, mabey something small like stuffing your invite envelopes or putting final touches on things. I think alot of DIY stuff can be fun, especially when your doing them with other people, it may take the stress of a little bit. FH and I worked on our STDs together and we had alot of fun.

all that being said, i understand how you feel about not wanting to ask for help, but this whole thing should be fun! so don't let it get you down and take it one thing at a time!

Its different when they offer to help, alot of times they really want to, and want to be part of the whole planning process so why not include them...It can be a nice bonding experience.

I totally understand! I just watch someone's wedding video and I start crying!! I have a lot of stress...starting grad school, looking for a new job so the hours coincied while im in school, the wedding of course plus I have to move out of my apt in May!! I know its not easy but let it all out! Its good to let people know that you could use their help...and I agree, most cases (like friends BM's and fam) they want to help you!

Re: Do I have a problem?

The same thing happened to me before my wedding. You have plenty of time to do these DIY projects. Take them one at a time and take your time doing them. Don't rush through them. You don't want to have to do them over again closer to the wedding. Ask for help from your family and friends. Let them be a part of your wedding. My DH, one BM and my Mom helped me a lot and I'm thankful they did help. I used to cry out of no where too. It's called stress. You have to take breaks from the planning and the DIY projects. Take care of yourself. Good Luck and happy planning.

Re: Do I have a problem?

I think I might become a wreck later on during this process,, mainly because everytime I look at someones review, bio, pictures or hear something heartfelt about a wedding, I get all teary eyed! Also at the bridal showcase I went to The DJ was doing their thing and showing what they cold say or do at a wedding and I was about to cry thinking it would be me in the next year and a half!
