I would include general location like NYC, LI just so out of towners can plan. but you don't need a specific location like your RH

I didn't include the location. The people I ordered them from told me I really didn't have to.

I guess it's really up to you and if it would fit on the STD. If you are putting a 'wedding website' on the STD then you wouldn't need to worry about the location b/c all of the wedding info would be on your website.

I included a wedding website address with all the info. the std was a magnet that just had our names and the date of the wedding.

I didn't. STD's are more so they know to reserve the dates. Unless you plan on having a lot of OOT guests... in which case you want to let them know they will be needing to travel. I only did STD's for the date and day of the week (friday wedding - so if people want to take off from work).
