FH works with a guy whose wedding is the week before ours... and we are invited. Obviously they wont be able to make it to our wedding because they will be on their honeymoon. FH is not really friendly with the guy and I have never met him.
I feel like with so much to do 1 week before, to go to a wedding that is over 3 hours away, for people that I dont know is just not necessary.
Am I wrong?????

as long as FI doesn't mind skipping - i would definitely say skip. you'll have a ton of stuff to do.

I have the same problem. We have a wedding the Sunday before our Friday wedding. We spoke to them and we agreed that we wouldn't go to each other's weddings. We plan on going out to dinner after our honeymoons to celebrate together.

honestly, I would probably go. There's not that much to do the week before and it will be a nice escape for a little bit from your own wedding planning.

thanks girls...to be honest if it were local or at least not too far away I'd go but its a 3 hour drive there and back...pretty much will cost us the whole weekend. That, plus I dont even know these people!
I need to talk to FH and see how he feels bc if its that important I guess I'll go.

I would not go. Fh and I are having the same thing 1 month before our wedding, just too much to do , too nervous about thiings going right the day of, etc. The last thing I would want to do is go to a wedding 1 week before my own, but if u do have to go , let it work to your advantage, maybe u can get last minute ides etc.
