Do I have to have calligraphy done for std envelopes?
OK I know I don't HAVE to do anything but does it look terrible if I just write neatly on the envelopes for the STDs? Even digital calligraphy could cost $.39 an envelope. Printing on labels or printing on the envelope myself is NOT an option. I don't have a printer at home and if I were to buy one, I have absolutely no patience to do that. It's bound to happen that some labels or evelopes would come out crooked or messed up and if I have to spend hours doing this, I'll end up wishing I paid for the calligraphy.
So, is handwriting the addresses on the STD cards tacky?

We did our own on the computer, but it's not necessary on STDs unless you want to !!

I think as long as you take the time to write it out nicely, it will look fine!

Buy the clear mailing labels from staples and print a nice font on them. I did this for my e-party and will do it for save the dates as well. it came out great

I dont think its worth it to handwrite. either do it yourself, or have someone with nice hand writing write it...or just print out labels.

I just bought the clear mailing labels yesterday and will be printing them out in a nice font. The save the date's don't need to be formal.

Get the clear mailing labels and print them out. Its very simple to do it that way.

I was going to write my own but I found a girl who's really good and super duper cheap! She didn't charge much because she said she wasn't a professional. :) I'm thrilled!

we did clear lables and used a pretty font, it was so easy and for std's its totally fine.

I just printed out labels, there's no need to have them done by calligraphy

No, my MOH did all the clear labels on the computer for me - I only hand wrote two bc I didnt have these peoples addresses when doing the labels (

I handwrote mine. Nobody saves the envelope of the STD anyway, so it didn't matter much to me. I'll have my invites done in calligraphy, though.

I didn't......my Sister has beautiful handwriting so I figured she could do it all.
