Do I have to hide out in my Bridal Suite? :) :)

This may seem like a silly question. Are you going to your cocktail hour? Does your bridal party go? Or does everyone make an appearance when they are announced at the beginning of the reception?

I am doing the same. Taking pictures between the Church and reception and definately going to the cocktail hour!! I think it is a matter of preference.

We are getting married in the chapel at the recepetion hall. We plan on taking all our pictures in the afternoon and then going to the hall. The ceremony starts at 7:30...and then we plan on going to the cocktail hour and enjoying the time we will have with our guests....Danielle and I are paying for the whole wedding ourselves, so we may as well enjoy it....

W went to our cocktail hour and I am so glad we did. It gave us more of a chance to visit and talk to guests and we had such a great time with everyone.

We went to our cocktail hour and had a great time. I felt that if I hung out in the bridal suite, I would be missing a great time.

I am most definitely going to my cocktail hour! My Mom, to this day, really regrets not going to hers and missing out on spending more time with her guests and all of the great food. (But it's nice to have the Bridal Suite to escape to for a few minutes, if need be!)

Since im being married at the hall, I'll be doing photos during most of the cocktail hour..

I hope to still at least mingle a little.

Never even dawned on me to hide out and make an enterance.. You guys rule. I wouldn't have thought of it.. but now..

FH and I will have no choice but to see each other before the wedding according to religious requirements, so we're going to go butt early and do our pictures and enjoy every single minute of our wedding. We're paying for it and planning it and there's no way in hell I'm going to let my guests tell me about something I missed. Pffffft! However, I'm liking the idea of taking 10 minutes before the entrance to freshen up and have another quiet moment with FH.

Cocktail hours are always my favorite! And my cocktail hour is outside on the deck and one of my favorite things about my hall! I wouldn't miss it for the world!

We are going to join our BP and guests and cocktail hour and then we will leave about 10 minutes before it is over to get ready to be introduced.

I definetly will be going to my cocktail hour. I think for about 15 minutes we will eat in the Bridal Suite and then join the rest of the group for the rest of the Cocktail Hour. I figured we probably won't eat at the cocktail b/c we will be yapping away. And then we plan to go back to our suite for 5 minutes until our grand entry to the reception.

Since my church is at 3pm on a Friday, I figured that not too many people will be making it to my church. So, I am going to stay in my bridal suite and enjoy. Then make a grand entrance into the hall. I really feel like people like to see the excitement of seeing the bride in that manner. But as its been said already it truly is your own personal preference.

we have to take pictures for part of the cocktail hour...but we plan on being there for at least some of it!!
and you can still amek that grand entrance at the reception...as long as you're not there when everyone else comes in to find their seats!!!
i love when i see the bride and groom at the cocktail hour...lets me know they're enjoying their party too!!!

I didn't hide in the bridal suite. After pictures we caught the tail end of our cocktail hour.

We took all of our pics before the ceremony so that we could enjoy our cocktail hour. It was so much fun attending the cocktail hour. We greeted everyone, then danced all night at our reception. I did spend a few minutes in the bridal suite, but I wanted to be at our cocktail hour since we paid so much for our wedding!
