I didnt have one. I did put pins in my hair but they broke by the time my reception started.

You don't have to have a headpiece. I am not sure if I am going to have one yet. However, at Barrons, they said that if you bring in a picture of what you want they will make it. Maybe they can make it for a cheaper price.

I am not going to have a tiara or headband...I just wanted a pin so I went that route instead. I don't think there is any rule that you have to have anything though.

I don't have one. My dress has some apliques on it, I'm wearing earrings that are flashy and maybe a necklace and a braclet. I don't want there to be too much from the neck up so I'm forgoing the hair piece.

ID on't see any reason to need one... they're reall yjust ornamental, just jewelry, so it's about the look.
I fyou don't mind the look, or you like th elook of not having the hairpiece then that's fine. You can have a veil wihout it.
However, if you like the idea of a headpiece, you can get them a lot cheaper. Have you tried Barron's? Or ebay? or Amazon? Or Etsy?

I agree, def try Etsy. I got a beautiful hair comb for like 25 dollars. I hate tiarreas and the few hair bands I saw were 300-400 dollars. There is no way I was paying that much.
