Do I need programs?

I think they are nice to have... but I am only going to do them if I have time and money to spare. They will be the last thing on my list.

Not necessary but I think it's nice to honor the people that are part of your day. It's nice to tell everyone who's in the bridal party and such. Sometimes it gives your guests something to do with themselves before the ceremony i know i always sit and read it!

Agreed. I'm definitely doing them, if for no other reason than to introduce the bridal party to all the guests, and recognize how much our parents have done to help us out....plus I always like something to read while I'm waiting!

i'm not doing them, but i'm also getting married at the RH, and they seem really unnecessary. i have nothing to really say in them. however, i do like them when it's a full mass church ceremony, so i know when the ceremony is coming to a close.

Its nice but not necessary. My mom is a DIY freak and is really very good and modern - sooooo lucky for me mom is making them

We're doing programs, but this is simply because we're being married by a rabbi and the majority of the guests (and me!) aren't Jewish!

I don't think they are necessary. Their nice to have if you can find the time to do them but you definitely don't need them.

i think you should only have them if it is something you want...if not, i would not bother...we are having them, but i think it is just a matter of preference...are you getting married in a church?

Nice to have but optional.

DH and I got married at the RH, and we used them to discuss cultural traditions, list the music we were using, recognize late relatives, and outline who was in the wedding party. For us, they were important, but again, it's up to you.

If you do decide to them, they needn't be complicated. You can use regular letter size copy paper if you like. FM me--I have an eight-page program template (two 8.5' by 11' sheets, folded) that incorporates lots of white space.
