My grandmother (on my Dad's side) sent me a card for the wedding with a little religious card inside of it.
For the shower, she sent a check for $25. And, I sent her a nice thank you card and included photos from the shower.
I am pretty upset that she did not send a wedding gift (I think it's because I am not speaking to my father and she wanted me to call him up and get him to come to the wedding- which I did not do)
But, 2 of my aunts (her daughter's) did send gifts, so I wanted to send them thank-yous, with some photos and a favor.
but, if I do that, but not send anything to my grandmother, I think it may make her mad...
But, I don't think it's fair that I should have to send her a thank-you when she didn't even send me a gift in the first place...

How about sending some pictures then without any thank you attached? You could send something saying ' here are some pictures of our wonderful day'...then your the better person and your not thanking her for something she didnt do...maybe she'll get the hint?
Now that's an idea! Maybe I'll just send some small photos in an envelope. I can just write a note basically saying, 'FYI'

No ty note for the card..my bad. You did the right thing sending ty note for the $25, no matter how pissed you are/were. for that.

I think thats the best, that way you dont feel like your giving in to her behavior with saying thank you, I would say how wonderful the day was and you wanted to send some pictures so she could see what she missed...no j/k....you know what I mean

id send a note card saying 'Thank you for the religious card. It was kind of you to think of us. Im sorry you were not able to attend the wedding.'... no pictures needed..... then you can send the aunts a thank you card thanking them for the gift and enclose pictures..
