I can't decide if I want to actually get uplighting or not. I love the overall look/decor of our room, and we will be using cream colored flowers, so not sure if I really need to have colors on the walls. What do you ladies think? Here's the room (imagine tables + Chiavari chairs):
We're planning on dimming the lights (need to check how much I can) --- and then having a lot of candles on each tables.
The room is gorgeous. You don't need uplighting however I like having to give the room my signature color. So you might want it to be purple. Does the hall have uplighting? It might be cheaper if they do.

Well nobody needs uplighting, lol! But I know what you mean! Since the ceilings along the walls are lower, I don't think having uplighting would have the same dramatic effect. Save the money and flood the tables with candles!

That room is really really gorgeous! The windows are amazing adn the whole room colors are just awesome. However if you wanted to you could incorporate your theme colors into uplighting.

Thanks girls! This was a gut check - I think I will just add money to just flooding it w/ candles!

Re: Do I need uplighting?
check with your RH if they do offer it.. but that room is gorgeous!! i had no idea watermill had a room like that.. never checked watermill out bc my sister had her wedding there...
ETA and check with your DJ also to see if it's a reasonable price.. bc with spending money on candles will add up...

Do this. I wouldn't change the color of that room bc it is sooo gorgeous, and the candles will make it that much more romantic.
Are you renting the candelabras?

Re: Do I need uplighting?
My room has the same kind of coloring and I opted to not do the uplighting. I really wanted it but I didn't feel that I wanted it enough to pay what I had to pay for it.
My centerpieces are high/lows with tealight candles at all different heights. When you walk in the room the candles at the heights will just look scattered and I think the uplighting will ruin the effect I'm going for.

That's good to hear! Thank you!
I think I'm just going to add extra candles all around and really create an even more intimate scene.
