for the church? i dont know what to do...do people really notice them? the church is pretty enough...im trying to cut any costs i can on flowers..im not a huge flower fan but i know at weddings they are pretty but flowers arent something i want to spend alot on. ANY OPINIONS??? TIA

Why not just do a few inexpensive pew bows.... put some flowers in them (even do silk, no one's gonna keep em anyway!)Just a little something to spruce up the church.

I am just doing some pew bows, I was never a fan of altar arrangements because, I know this is weird, but it reminds me of a funeral or something!

Thats funny, cause I feel the same way. Plus, with the amount of funerals I've gone to lately, any time I smell flowers I immediately ask 'Who died?'... which is horrible! Keeping things simple at church...Add a little touch on the pews... you can even make the bows yourself, so easy!

To me they weren't worth the expense. I also used the florist that the church uses and they told me that they would try to use flowers for the altar that would complement mine. As it turned out, the church had a lot of fall decoration already on the altar, so I was really glad I didn't do flowers.
Some churches don't want you taking the flowers afterwards, either, so there might be flowers from another wedding there already!

I think it's absolutely something you can cut. I doubt anyone will notice. Plus you need to think about your church specifically--my church is very big, so regular altar arrangements would look like nothing. I'd have to do something extravagent in order for it to look really nice. So instead we're doing nothing!

i'm not because its lent.
i don't think you have to at all.
im doing pew bows and have lavendar hydrangea (silk) tied into it. very cute, inexpensive and you can make them now
