Do I really need to hand cancel my invtes?

Original post by Regal Beagle

The post office said no, but I don't want them smashed when they arrive to my guests.

What did you do???
If you didn't, do you know how they ended up?

Thanks

I didn't and they were fine.

I'd say the only reason to hand cancel would be if, like some said, you have some kind of bow that will get stuck in the machine, or I've seen some people do wax seal on the outside that get ruined by the machine.

Otherwise, just do it the normal way. It will be fine!

i hand cancelled mine just because when i went in to get one weight the lady at the post office told me to just in case, considering ohw much we paid i didnt want anything getting messed up.

I hand cancelled them but was told by the Post Office that they will most likely go through the machine anyway

We are hand cancelling only because ours has a bow and so it's a little bulky. If your invites are flat, they should be fine I think.
