I'm picking up my bridesmaid's dress. I got the alterations done privately outside the vendor. Do I need to tip her and if so how much like 20%? Please let me know asap!!!!!

Re: do i tip my seamstress?
seriously, when does the tipping end?
i'd say if you use an inhouse seamstress then YES.
if you are paying someone privately then hell no. all the money goes right to them.

ITA..
and honestly, even if you did use an in house seamstress, you already paid for the alteration costs, so i really dont think a tip is necessary.

It may not be necessary but it will get you better service.

Re: do i tip my seamstress?
I agree with above poster. If it's an in-house seamstress I would give her a little something but if you took to someone else (like a dry-cleaners or a private seamstress) I would not tip.
