DO NOT BUY YOUR RIBBONS FROM PARTY CITY !!!!

Sorry girls, I have to vent. I ordered wedding favor ribbons from Party City in Bayside over 2 weeks ago and they were promised to be here by Saturday Jan. 19. Needless to say, they were not here and probably won't be here until Wednesday Jan. 23. I called all week last week and every stupid person that came on the phone didn't bother to call the company to check the order, all they kept saying was that the order will be here when promised and they have never had a problem like this with that company.

Today, they call the company (as the company was closed on Saturday) and the company mailed out the favors, THROUGH THE REGULAR POST OFFICE MAIL, and said now that was the post office's fault and they couldn't do anything about it. Now, if they don't come in tomorrow, (as there is no mail today), they will have it overnighted to me by Wednesday. Which means, that I have to make 150 customized favors by Friday as I need to give it to the hall 1 week prior.

DO NOT USE PARTY CITY, NOT ORGANIZED AND NOT PREPARED.

Let's see how they try and compensate me for this !!!

I am sorry to hear about your experience with Party City. If your favors do not come in on time, I suggest you call up the hall and work something out with them. Remember you are paying them a lot of money and I am sure if you explain to them the situation, they will allow you to hand them in early next week.

I agree 100%! I am sure they will be able to have you bring them Monday to give you more time. They are just going to store them anyway its not like they are setting up the event a week before.

I would def. get something from party city! If the store wont help you contact that corporate office.

I agree with the girls above, the hall will work something out with you once you explain the situation.

But I also know what you're talking about with PC. I ordered my Eparty invites there and when we called to check on them, they were SOOO rude and didn't call the company to check on them, just told us 'they get delivered in 7-10 business days and we'll call you when they're here. If we didn't call you, they're not here.' Fh said, 'can you just check?' the girl said 'no, we'd call if they were here' UGHHH, I hate them!!

i'm soooo sorry that happened to you!!! This is the last thing u need to be dealing with, Just try and relax... call ur hall and tell them what happened!! I'm sure they will understand! good luck

I agree that the hall will be willing to accept it a little later. I think they actually plan for delays. May I suggest a pizza party in exchange for helping hands. Offer to feed people and they will come. It will all come together in the end. Good luck.
