Florists warned me. They told me when it gets put in the box it will get crushed, when the FG puts it down it will get crushed - well I had to have it.. But they were RIGHT. Not only did it get crushed but mine was a little rough with hers and flowers fell out, but the flowers were all wilting very very quickly.
I made a beautiful fake one for $40. But she wanted real so I got it for her too at $85. Save your $ and go fake.
Hope it saves someone

Re: DO NOT order a real kissing ball
I was going to have my JR BM hold one - she'll be 10 at the time of the wedding.
Other thanthe flowers wilting, you think at 10 she won't have a problem with it?

Re: DO NOT order a real kissing ball
My florist advised me against them. She said they tend to be used as toys or missiles by the kids!

Re: DO NOT order a real kissing ball
I forget how many dozen we used but it was very heavy and big. It was all hot pink roses. We took pics outdoor and then ceremony was outdor too. Maybe it was too much for it.
Mine seemed bigger than the pic previsously posted. When she put it down all the flowers on the bottom got crushed. It was beautiful while it lasted but it didnt last very long.
The fake was beautiful too and much lighter and wouldnt wilt.Click here to see it
Its about the 6th pic in. It was so heavy she had to carry it with 2 hands. If you look closely you can see they're starting to wilt and were somewhat crushed.

Re: DO NOT order a real kissing ball
If someone can change a bitmap pic to a jpeg I could post it.
Look how big that ball is. Maybe you can just get it much smaller. It was so heavy!

Re: DO NOT order a real kissing ball
Did you use it for something after the ceremony? We only used it for the ceremony and reception entrance. I have no idea what happened to it after then. The ring pillow was a real waste for us! It had 4 tassels on the corners when we gave it to him and wound up with 3 by the time he got to the end of the aisle. It was also left at the church.

Thanks for the advice! I'm going to make two fake ones to hang from our reception doors.

How did you do that
eta: are they not the CUTEST kids!

All you have to do is save it,open it in Windows Paint, and then save it again, changing the file extension from bmp to Jpeg!

She really wanted real flowers? I would have been like 'uhm sorry honey, then you pay for it!'
Just kidding but seriously it did look beautiful in the photos that you were able to get. At least it stayed together for the most important part..her walking down the aisle.
