its not rude at all, in fact i want to have an 'only play' list where they play only the songs I pick. I figure this may be rude, but my FH and I are very picky with music and refuse to pay someone to play songs we abhor. thats why we really want to just play an ipod with our own songs but i dont know if that will work....anyways, a do not play list is perfectly appropriate, lol.

Not rude at all. I plan on giving my dj instructions as to what to play and not to play.

Re: Do Not Play List
I think the DO NOT Play list is more important than the play list! You're not a bridezilla; all the bands we spoke with expected it. Make one and don't tell FSIL if she's going to get cranky about it.

Would it be rude to have a do not play list.? FSIL said that it would be. Yes i know it's not her wedding but I also don't want to be a bridezilla.
I am insisting on a do not play list!!!!!! It is in no way rude and our DJ said they usually expect one from brides.

OKay so what if I say dont play anything cheesey or anything that has a 'dance'. Would they play any of this stuff? Im worried Im going to leave off something and they will go ahead and play it.

Re: Do Not Play List
It is not rude to tell your DJ that you have a do do play list, I am going to tell them to their face, ABSOLUTELY no electric slide, chicken, frog dance etc etc, no corniness, lol

Re: Do Not Play List
Our DJ gave us paper work with a play and do not play list. It is not rude at all.
