Do Not Play List

Would it be rude to have a do not play list.? FSIL said that it would be. Yes i know it's not her wedding but I also don't want to be a bridezilla.

NOT AT ALL!!! It is your wedding and you are paying your DJ/Band. Most of the DJs I looked at said they request a Do not play list.

i do not think that it would make you a bridezilla...alot of the DJ's give you a do not play sheet to fill out the songs you dont want played....we are going to make one...there are several songs from the past that i dont not want played at my wedding.....ie...the macarena....chicken dance....etc, etc,etc!!!

its definitely not rude. My dj asked me to put together a list of songs i would not want to be played and a list of songs that i had to have played at the wedding... you are paying them so get what you want!!!!

I don't think it's rude at all.. I had one at my sweet sixteen and plan on it at my wedding! Maybe I am a bridezilla, but it's mine and FH's day... if we don't want to hear certain songs... ie. The Macarena, Chicken Dance, lol... then they better not be played!

i really only have 1 request.........NO RAP!! oh and open arms by journey is not allowed to be played!!! or any version of the song! that was FH song with his ex

I dont think it is rude.

my band is giving me a list of songs they play, for me to choose which ones i want them too play.

so i guess the ones i dont would be 'do not play' songs.

they are also giving me the chance to add to their list, telling me and songs i want, I just have to let them know and they will learn it.

But i have seen them twice and they have a pretty extensive list of songs that cover a lot of different genres/ as well as time periods.. so all out guests hear a little something they like.
