Don't mean this as a rude question, but I was just wondering...
just planning out some budget stuff, and although I'm not banking on this (no pun intended), I was wondering if there are people who give $$ as shower gifts? I always gave gifts off the registry, but at this points, I will love the people who did the cash thang!
(there's also our honeymoon registry, which I would LOVE people to do!!)

I got a check from someone who could not attend and a check from someone who came to the shower. Other than that it was almost entirely registry gifts.

Don't county on cash! I got a lot of gifts, hundreds of dollars in gift cards and only about $150 cash.

Don't count on it. The reason for a shower is for people to OOH and AAH over your gifts. I got a little bit of money from those that couldn't attend. I also received a few gift cards to places we were registered.
