Do people really use the slippers???

I can't tell you HOW MANY people I saw walking around the wedding in slippers!! Its even in pictures and on the video

I have also gotten a few fms from girls on here that attended my wedding telling me they wear the slippers all the time after.

Oh and I saw a few people brought the slippers from my wedding to my SIL's bridal shower and changed into them when there feet started to hurt.

The slippers at your wedding were gone before the reception even started!!!!

Raising my hand - ME! I got slippers at Maxines wedding and I am wearing them right now. I keep them under my desk at work and change into them during the day when I am sitting at my desk. I LOVE THEM!

I know I was lucky and went to the bathroom during cocktail hour and got a pair. Everyone was in the bathroom raving about the slippers and how cute of an idea it was. Thanks for coming up with the idea Maxine. My guests are going to freak too!

LOL I didn't know they were all gone before the reception even started!!! I know a few people didn't go to the bathroom the whole time they were there and got so mad at the end of the night when they found out thats where everyone got the slippers from

Ohhh and I have a funny story!!!! One of my good friends was at the wedding and her boyfriend was with her.
2 Months after my wedding they had another wedding to go to... before they left she asked him to put a pair of her slippers in the trunk so if her feet hurt during the wedding he could run out and get them for her.

He turned to her and said ' Why do you need to bring your own??? Aren't they going to give you slippers when you get there ?? '

I had already bought them when there was another wedding going on. What I had arranged with the hall was for after dinner 4 waiters ( 2 on each side of the room) were going to walk around with the baskets and let each female pick out what size/color she wanted. ( Originally we were going to put them in the front of the room but didnt want a big crowd around a basket of slippers instead of out on the dance floor) plus we figured RIGHT after dinner everyone would be seated.

We only changed it to putting them in the bathroom when we found out the other bride had canceled.

Ahhhh I got it! Cool beans! Damn I should have done that thing with the waiters....too bad no one was sitting for ONE SECOND EVER at my wedding.

I originally didnt take them cause my fat foot wont fit in those things. But then Kim was like you should get some so I got the size bigger (duh) and they are comfy! Thanks girl!

How many would you recommend getting for 100 females? Would 50 be enough? I know not everyone will wear them.

Thats what I thought!! even the really old Italian ladies were wearing them or at least took them ( maybe to use at home or to give to someone!!)
I had 150 people and so I would have needed 75 pairs I got 85 just to be safe and I think there were only 2 left over.

ONE SUGGESTION FOR SLIPPERS....

if you do not have enough for everyone... Have your DJ put them out by the dance floor ONCE people start dancing... at a wedding I was at recently, they had them when you walked in, but not enough for eveyone... so the first whatever many ppl in the door got them... i only saw a few bridesmaids wearing them out of ALL the people dancing... Then at the end of the night, I saw all the old ladies walkign out with the slippers in hand, still nicly wrapped... when MY feet were KILLING me b/c I didnt' get any!!

Just a suggestion!

excellent suggestion - the people out their on the dancer floor working it should get first grabs!!!
