they can carry whatever you wish.. parasols, fans, etc. I was going to have my girls carry fans, but instead they'll carry a small arrangement..

At one girls wedding, the BMs carried 'wands'. Martha Stewart profiled a beautiful wedding where the BM carried lanterns. Its really up to you.
Not crazy about the muff thing but that is jus tmy opinion...nothing wrong with bucking the trends.

I have seen it done lots of ways. It is really your choice. The muffs could be very cute since you are having a winter wedding. What color would you get? What color are the girls wearing?

I actually went to a wedding where they used muffs. To be exact white furry muffs and there were a couple of flowers in the front. It worked well for a winter wedding. I can't remember if the bride used a muff too.

Your girls can carry anything you want them too. I think muffs are cute for little girls, but it will not be easy to find an adult BM dress that looks good with a muff. But if you want them to carry muffs than I think that is fine.
