The latter. The Groom waits at the altar with the best men...while the GM walk the BMs down.

but some customs have the groom walk the aisle.

The wedding i went to this past weekend had the groom and his best man walk down the aisle first, followed by the groomsmen in pairs and then followed by the BMs and finally the bride and her dad. I thought it was nice - kind of gets the groom in the spotlight a little - my FI now wants to do this too so I think we may.

MINE WILL BE WAITING FOR ME ALSO BUT WE ARE HAVING THE GROOMSMEN WALK BESIDES THE BM'S.

for us, DH and his BM were waiting at the altar.

we had the rest of the GM walk my BMs down the aisle.

then my sister (MOH) walked with my brother (a BM).

then i came in flanked by my parents.

In Jewish weddings, yes. I haven't seen too many other weddings where the groom walks down the aisle, but I think that if the bride gets to do it, why not the groom, too?

My groom and his best men waited at the alter. The groomsmen escorted the bridesmaids.

FI will walk down the isle with his parents and the BM and GM will walk down the isle after the bridesmaids.

thanks....so if i have the BM wait with FH at the alter - then my sister (MOH) will have to wait alone?

I have 1 MOH, 1 BM and 3 BM with 3 GM....

The MOH usually walks down alone in this scenario - at least what I've seen/done.

I have been to weddings where the guys walk down the aisle with the girls, but I have also seen the girls walk by themselves. It's up to you.
I have an uneven wedding party so we will probably have the guys all at the alter already and the girls walking down alone. Don't know how they will walk out yet...

yeah... your MOH can walk alone... this is one way to distinguish her from everyone else...
