Do they still play Looney Tunes cartoons on Saturday mornings anymore these days???

Me and a friend at work were talking about how most of the new cartoons these days are either gross humor, really ugly characters, or really 'modern' with little kids acting like teenagers, etc.

What ever happened to the good ol' days of the cat chasing the mouse, the coyote chasing the roadrunner, and the skunk chasing the cat?????? Duck season vs. Wabbit season?????

DH and I talk about that all the time. I look for them every sat morning but can't find them. We want to get them all on DVD so our kids will be able to see some GOOD cartoons.
Todays cartoons are horrible. Bad animation, stupid characters (pokemon, yu gi oh), and horrible acting (Power Rangers, not a cartoon but a bad Sat morning show).

WENDY! There was an old school Looney Tunes with a psuedo-educational format. It was about different dog breeds and the announcer introduced each breed. He came to the Pointer and the dog hopped up on it's hind legs and started pointing while saying 'Dere it is! Dere it is! Dere it is!'

That's Sammy!!!!

Unfortunatley, nowadays these are how the tides are turning. At least we can take great comfort in the fact that our generation had the coolest cartoons ever!!!

It's sad really, because Looney Tunes and the Marx brothers destroyed opera for me! Until I was 10 I thought Wagner stole his music from cartoons!
