Everyone keeps telling me that I should enjoy myself & FH while it lasts because after the wedding everything changes. Is that true? Is FH going to turn into this stranger that I don't like? What's the deal with everyone saying this/??? It's so frustrating!

Yeah, but how can I know if this is what he's going to be like for the rest of our lives? He used to be so fun to be around. Now I feel like I have to walk on eggshells around him.

yes, things change - for the BETTER!
once the wedding and all the stress is over, you have your life back and you can focus more on each other without all the BS that comes along with planning a wedding. you'll see

I completely agree!!! It's been better than ever before now that all the pressure is off.

Nothing huge changed....just my confidence. Once I felt truly comitted to each other, i was much more relaxed and I act more openly around my in-laws now.
The stress and fighting over planning is gone and we are having a blast - we laugh more now than ever and are able to go on dates again now that we arent saving for a wedding.

For us, the wedding planning was stress-free if it weren't for his mom and my father. grrr
After the wedding, things didn't change much for us and we'll be married a year in 2 week
One thing that did change is that we spend more time apart... meaning, he goes out with his friend after work sometimes (he gets off very early in the day), but we eat dinner every night together, cool together, go away, shopping (not as often, but sometimes). So things are good.

I can only say that when it came time to planning athe wedding we were at each others throats day and night. Now that the stress of the wedding is over we are flying high on cloud 9 and loving it!

Compared to the rest of your lives, the wedding itself is a very small deal. Living together each day you both will learn more and more about each other and about yourselves. Do not be afraid of change because as the years pass, you both will continue to grow and mature; develop and learn both as individuals and as an individual unit. Always be cognizant of each other's feelings and never, never stop communicating!

I honestly think things got better after the wedding. During our engagement, our communication skills improved tremendously, and we really learned to rely on one another. I feel like a true family now.

DH and I lived together for 8 years before we got married. For us, nothing changed.
