I feel like our expensive things are the absolute necessities, and that we will not get them, but we'll get all our gadgets and little shiz items. Like, I have this fear that we will not get plates, silverware, pots, bedding, coffee maker, but I'll get a deep fryer and a sangria pitcher.

this actually happened to me. I mean dont get me wrong I wanted the margarita pitcher and that is a necessity to me, but I didnt get any linens, pots or pans, coffee maker, etc other major things we NEED and I was a little shocked. I had a mini panic attack over the fact we have no bed linens and FH thought I was crazy. I mean then again we dont live together and we both live with our parents so we needed everything lol. We got some gift cards so Im sure we can buy the necessities.

Also, only my family was invited to the shower and FMIL didnt invite anyone so I kinda just blame it on the fact that it was only my friends and family at the shower.

Oh wow indeed! I'm in the same boat, and we need EVERYTHING because we don't live together, and I'm not having a massive shower, so the odds are not going to be in our favor.

all of this makes me feel SOOO much better.. i think i have many low, moderate and expensive things for people to choose from.. the only thing i keep telling myself.. is that for my bloomies registry.. everything i dont get i get 20% off

my china is 75 a place setting.. dont you think that is reasonable

I def feel the same way but everyone tells me its normal so I guess I'm alright with it
