we don't by any chance eat free since we are spending $XX, XXX on our catering bill?

My hall didn't give us a break on anything, we were counted in the final total.

Ask you banquet mgr, see what they can do. It doesn't hurt to ask!

Yes - count yourselves....we just made the last payment at the hall yesterday and figured that out after we had done all the math and had to redo it!

They count the # of dinners they have to make, so you have to count yourselves. My FI wants to eat everything, since we're spending so much $$$ he doesn't want to choose. He selects them all!!!

He was taken aback when he saw his name on the guest list (on top of his side) but then I pointed out that I'm listed too (on top of my side) and I was just doing a head-count!

Yep...I added a column to our spreadsheet with that because I know I'll forget it (and remember to included any vendors if you have to feed them).

Rule of thumb is: If they take up a chair or are going to eat, they count
