Do women ever grow up?

Original post by nov04LIbride

In college I had a nemesis. Evil, evil girl. We had big, blow out fights. She also happened to be my sorority sister, so some of my friends are also friends with her.

So, 5 years after college graduation (and thankfully I haven't had to see the nemesis in those 5 years), my 5 year reunion starts Thursday. My best friend who was my MOH forwards me an email from the nemesis (we'll call her SOB) saying that SOB made dinner reservations for her 10 best friends for Thursday night. My MOH and other 2 best friends were included, I was not. MOH emails SOB and tells her to add me to the list. Turns out SOB has planned all sorts of activities throughout the weekend, including my MOH and friends and not me. So MOH asked SOB to include me.

Now I feel like I am too old for all this petty cr@p, but I just can't help but feel her b!tchy ways are not outgrown. So now I feel like a total tag along going to these dinners and stuff planned by SOB that I wasn't invited to, but MOH asked for me to be included in.

Well then, the only fair thing to do is let her make out with your husband.

First of all, he will not be attending (but my strumpet ways of the past are in check)

Second, EWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good idea, Liz!

I mean, BEth, what's more important...one little kiss from Greg or ALL of your college girlfriends???

I think I did take that chicks before
d!cks pledge when I became a sorority girl!

There are events planned throughout the weekend, but we are also left on our own much of the time (breakfasts and dinners are together, but lunches are on your own, and night activites will probably be at the bars even though there are university-planned events). I went to a huge university in the boonies and there are 800 grads from my class going, so there is always the possibility of not seeing someone unless you make plans beforehand.

Gotcha!

Well, maybe you could go to some of these things and sit at the opposite end of the table? I know when our gang of 8 gets together, I often don't hear a lot of what is being said at the other end if we are out at a restaurant. It might be worth it to suffer through her BS if it means you might not see much of your other friends.

AND - there are probably a few others in the group who get tired of her nonsense but just don't say anything.

That's what I am going to have to do. I'll be on my best behavior! Anyhoo, thanks!

Or you could start calling her by different names, and make up stories to go along with thos names...

'Oh Helga! It's been ages! Rememer when we went kayaking with the basketball team. Hmm, good times!'

Good one!

If you really want to piss her off, start referring to 'the guy' she was jealous of as your husband...or keep asking her how he is...

That is why i never went to any of my sorority/college reunions after the first one...no need to go back to that petty backstabbing time of my life.
