Do you add '+Guest' when addressing a Save The Date?

I am not sure wether or not to include a 'plus guest' when sending out Save the dates. Some people I think I should, like my brother. But I am not sure if its too formal for an STD.

Thoughts, opinions?

i did not put and guest. It is the friend/family member that you want to save the date. If they are dating someone/.engaged/living with a significant other we wrote both names but is they are single it was addressed to them.
We plan to invite some people with a gust but who knows if that will be the case when invites go out...the list may be too large and if we need to make cuts its going to be the 'guests' that get cut.

I did not put '+guest' on my save the dates either for single friends, even if I eventually invited them to the wedding with a guest. Save the and guest for the real wedding invitation.

I didnt do so either ... You can do so when it comes to the invitation. Hopefully by then you'll know the guests name.

Thanks a ton! This helps alot, I figured it was not really something to add on the STD for those who are single.

We did but only for the ones we were SURE we were giving and guest to. We wanted them to know in advance and be able to make plans. But just be careful since you can't take it back!

Ditto - we plan on doing this for those we are 100% giving 'and guest' to b/c many are from OOT and we want them to be able to figure out hotels and what not

We didn't address plus guest on any of our STDs. Saving that for the invite.

I didn't.

If I was sure the people would still be together by the time the wedding invitations came out, I just wrote their name on the STD.

I didn't put 'and guest' on the save the dates.. only on the actual invitation.
