do you always have to bustle????????

do you always have to bustle????????

Here is the scoop my dress in a satin ball gown with a soft tulle overlay. It hs a chapel lenght train. Do I really need to bustle it? Would it be possible just to carry it with the loop. The sales lady(who also is a seamstress) showed me how it would look bustled and I thought it looked just a little funny ONLY becasue I am used to plain satin gowns being bustle (which looks a little more defined) since my gown has an overlay it looks not so stiff....the tulle just kinda droops there...and I think makes my butt look bigger

So ladies do you always have ot bustle? and for those of you who already are Mrs. am I crazy and just putting undo stress on myself for my wedding day?

Did she show you a frenh bustle instead of a regular bustle? It might look better with that. You might get tired of carrying you dress by the end of your wedding.

I think you will get annoyed if your dress isn't bustled.

I would try it on again and try carrying it by the loop for like 10 minutes in the salon. I tried it when I picked up my dress last week and OMG.. The train is heavy. I couldn't imagine carrying it all night. But if you like it better than go for it, if you don't mind carrying it!!

I think you would get annoyed carrying it around all night, especially if there is beading and stuff on it. I personally don't like bustles either but I got a detachable train. Try it on again and try holding it in the loop for a little while and see how it feels.

Make your MOH carry it!!

Try the loop and see how that goes. Also try a different type of bustle -- there's alot you can do to change how it looks when it's bustled.

If you still don't like it, do the loop thing just make sure it's not too heavy. My friend did this and by the end of the night she was carrying the train of her dress crunched up into a ball with both hands in front of her!

my bustle is a french bustle. my dress is too heavy to carry. I have embroidery all down my train so they way they bustled it shows my pattern beautifully. its a personal choice but its a lot easier to have that puppy strapped to your back then to hold it all night!
