I know that this is a wierd question.....DH and I both have our onw computers. He thinks its weird that we don't consolidate and share....get rid of the older of the 2. I feel that I want my own computer. Its not about not wanting to share, and I'm not trying to hide anything......but Ijust want my own, independent computer. Am I being rediculous? Please be honest, and what do you do in your house? Do you share the computer?How did you decide whose to use?

we have a desktop and a lap top. when we're both home i tend to use the laptop and he uses the desktop more. but we dont have a 'his' and 'hers'

We have 1 computer that we share, but its always been this way since I met DH. He at one point had a laptop for his job, but he no longer has one. We work on different schedules, so its not so bad re: usage. However, at times if he is on checking email or such & I need to do teaching stuff I'll just say I need to use it. It truly hasn't been a problem.

we have a desktop that we share. We have a small apt and have no need for another computer (as it is never used for work)

Nope. I think we will always have separate computers. I have a laptop and he has a desktop. As a teacher, I use mine a lot to create things for work. He uses his mostly for email and surfing the web. It would definitely be the cause of an argument if we shared. We are both used to having our own for so long. Wireless makes it even better.
I totally agree with you in regards to wanting your own computer.

we use our computers a lot, so sharing would be difficult. he has 2 desktops (on one desk) because he is nerdy like that. i have my lap top.

We have a desktop and a laptop. Our desktop is really slow so mainly DH uses it to download music since it has a bigger hard drive. We mainly use my laptop because we can be online anywhere in the house. We haven't had any problems if one of us needs to do something we're pretty good about getting off.

We have 2 desktops...we each have our own desk with our own computer. We both have to do work on them, so much of the time we are in the office together each working on our own computer. We also play a game together online that we need our own computer for. I also have a laptop that I use for work and traveling.

We have a desktop and a laptop. DH uses the laptop most of the time because he likes to watch tv and play computer games. The desktop is in the office where I also have a laptop for work so most of the time I am in there. It would be very hard for us to share because we both use the computer alot.

We now have 2 since Xmas. We used to share the desktop and sometimes it became bothersome when he was working on band stuff, and I wanted to check my e-mail or pop on here or vice vesa.
He surprised me with a lap top for xmas, and now we can be n the same room talking to one another as we do our thing on our separate computers. And now that we have wireless in the house, it's even better.

We actually have 4 laptops between us (2 each) - all of them being used. I'm not opposed to designating a computer to use together, but b/c we use our computers for such different things from one another, it makes sense for us to have separate computers.

We have separate computers and DH has a laptop that I rarely use. I will need a laptop for work very soon, going semi-paperless, so our total will be 4 . His company supplies his computers and we both do a lot of work at home, so we need at least 2 computers. He does not have a printer, even though he could get one from the company. It's just too much office equipment.

We each have our own desk top computers. When we have to make room for a child, mine will be given up and we will buy a lap top for me. I dont share my toys.

yes we have a laptop. but thats only because DH only uses a computer to go on the internet and look at video games, sports, emails, etc. he doesnt do anything substantial that would necessitate him having his own computer. i, on the other hand, use it for work.

We each have our own computer and it's always been that way. I even bought both of us new computers last year. (Both of us had really old and slow computers)
Each of us does work on the computer for hours at a time, We also use the computers for other stuff, so sharing one would never fly with us anyway.
