Do you and FH agree about where you want to live once you are married?
FH is driving me CRAZY with this...it has now come down to this...
Everytime I bring it up he says - WHATEVER YOU WANT...i want to kill him.

FH wants to move upstate into the STICKS!!!!! I want to stay on Eastern LI. Im happy here. He just wishes there werent as many people.
We've agreed that he can build me my dream home upstate and we will keep this house for the winters.

No, I want LI or upstate, he wants Queens. I'm not going to lose sleep over it though. Once we have children, we will have no choice but to move out of the apartment (it's a studio).

We agreed on north shore LI. After that, it was whatever we could afford, in the best possible school district.

We knew where we wanted to live prior to getting engaged...Long Island's north shore.
Huntington is perfect for us. I love the village!!!

I would NEVER have imagined myself living out here 5 years ago. My husband is very much a 'suburbia' mentality, and I was Very much a CITY mentality.
I think our opposite traits have complimented eachother and he has mellowed me out alot. I LOVEEE living in Suffolk. To me this Laid back and 'calm' lifestyle was unrealistic and more 'vacation-like'. I never would have thought that A) It was something we could afford, and B) It was something I would LOVEEE.
School district and north shore were also on our top ten list! (after we were educated by the RE Agents!)

Yup, we live in Brooklyn and are happy here. We moved here together 2 years ago. We might leave to go to school, we have to find grad schools for both of us in the same area...so we may end up as far as Wisconsin! But, as soon as we're done we'll come to the city, we love it here. I guess things could change, but we're both flexible.

My fiance is insistent on living in the bowels of LONG BEACH! The people there are such low lives (we did live there in an apt for a while), and I think it's a waste of money (high taxes) to live in such confined surroundings. We have argued about this constantly!! It's easier to drive to the beach, then to live among congestion and low lifes (many of whom don't even work- speaking of people we 'knew' when we lived there).

yep, were gonna live where we are right now for about 5 or 6 years and then moving to florida.

well hubby had the house before we got married, so I had no choice, but very happy where we live. I live in the school district that I teach in, so that is a BONUS.

Not really. Because of his job he needs to stay in either Eastern Queens, Nassau or maybe western suffolk. I don't think I would mind living in northern NJ. We both want to retire someplace out of state but we havent decided what that place would be
