This was brought up in another post that we talk alot about the wedding, babies and houses but do we all talk to our FH's about eachother's finances?
If one you lost your job what would happen? What type of debt are we getting ourselves into? When you marry someone you marry everything about them including any debt.
I know FH and I talk about finances all the time. he is debt free and I am not, I have school loans. He knows what he is getting into. He is also better with finances than I am. He is a saver and I am spender but we talk about this.
I was just wondering if everyone has had these types of conversations with their FH's and if you havent maybe this will spur that conversation.

We don't talk about it all the time, but we've had discussions. FH has credit card debt that he really doesn't like to talk about. We both have school loans, like many couples, and they're just a part of our budgets. FH's credit history worries me a little for when it's time to get a mortgage, but all in all we're both aware of each other's financial situations and comfortable with our budgets.
