My parents and FH's parents both got married in 1974 and are going strong

My Mom and Dad have gone through rough patches, but worked hard at it and now things are great.

Since I moved out, they are always making out and chasing eachother around, and pinching butts.

Its a little gross, but great at the same time

my parents are a great couple - theyre going to have their 25th anniversary 4 days after our wedding they are so great together - they've been through the rough times and through the good. when we came to this country and had nothing, zilch, i remember how they took us down to florida and took a road trip with only $500 bucks, stayed at the cheapest motels, but showed us what family is about. i remember being in disney world with my two sisters and i remember how we wanted the mickey mouse ice cream cuz all the kids had it (we were here for about 6 months) and i remember the look on my parents face because they couldnt spare it but they got it for us anyway. they are honestly the best parents anyone could ever dream off. and they were always my role models, i also wanted to have a marriage like them, and i hope i do. my FH is like a clone of my dad, they get along so good. (omg i think im going to cry) my FH is the son that my dad never had and same goes for my FH, his dad left him and his mom when he was like 7 - his mom was no angel either though.
So my FH had men in and out of his life bc of his mom, but i know how truly happy he is to have met me and my family and my dad.

yup... my parents divorced when my brother and i were like 4yrs old...thankfully my step dad came into my life when we were like 6 and has been there ever since...my real dad was always in and out of my life so i dont even talk to him (i dont have a grudge, i just dont care since he was never really there for me) but my step dad (who i call dad) has done EVERYTHING for me and will be the one walking down the aisle

Nope... my parents will be celebrating their 26th anniversary this May, and neither does FH... his parents will be celebrating their 30th this year. (I forget when their anniversary is though! It could be this month actually)

my father passed away when i was 1 years old..my mom met another man when i was 6 or 7 and they have been married for 10 years now..

DHs parents divorced about 8 or 9 years ago..but they are civil with eachother for DH sake which is good

they even got introduced at the wedding as his parents because thats what he wanted

I don't. My parents will be celebrating 31 married years in May. They were dating 8 or 9 years before they got married. How my mom has put up with my father for 40 years is beyond me

FH's parents divorced when he was a toddler. His mother remarried and they will be celebrating 16 years in May.

I can't believe I am going to post this because it still hurts to discuss, but this past September my parents separated and it was the most devasting thing I have ever gone through, I think even more with the wedding coming up. Things to are a lot more amicable now, but it has become extremely hard planning a wedding around all the chaos.

No my parents have been married for almost 37 years -- they are high school sweethearts. FH parents have been married for 34 years.

im sure they love eachother - but yelling at eachother is much more fun - its a sport in my house.

awww i know!
my family is completely screwed up. my mom is always crying cause my father is a jerk. I don't know why she stays. I can't even let FH's father or grandmother meet my family cause I know it will be a disaster. I don't know what I am going to do for the wedding and rehearsal dinner.
