Do you drink products with guarana, ie., SoBe Iced Green Tea??

Just got off the phone with Debi,; She was really sick, and experiencing strange symptoms, which kinda sounded familiar to me. I've had drug/caffeine interactions with similar symptoms, ie, anxiousness, pacing, feeling like you're dying!!
Debi experienced these symptoms immediately after drinking a SoBe Iced Green Tea. After doing some research, I came up with some interesting info, which I want to share with you.
The tea contained several ingredients, one being guarana, the caffeine of which is three times more potent than coffee!! Also, there seems to be some speculation about the purity of guarana. I have posted some links so you can be informed. Thanks for listening!! Mary MOB

these are all signs of caffeene intoxication and shold def be taken seriously!!!

just like alcohol intoxication or even water intoxication.. moderation is the key.. adn if you do experience any of these symptoms PLEASE stop and relax and rehydrate yourself with water or gateorate... slowly....!

I couldn't understand why I was so anxious and my heart was pounding out of my chest. Now i look at all the labels of vitamin waters or any type of 'designer' drinks like that.

My best bet honestly is Japanese brand iced green tea. Just pure green tea cold. No sugar, no additives

Thanks for the info!!!! I've had two similar reactions. One was many yrs. ago, when I had a cold/sinus inf. and I took Robitussin DM and Exedrine at the same time!! I thought I was going to die!!! My Dr. told me to take Benadryl, but at the time, I felt so awful, I didn't want to throw another drug into the mix!! More recently, I had gone to a Sheetz, and they had freshly brewed Hazlenut coffee!! So, I bought a huge 20+ oz. cup, and had tachycardia, and once again, thought I was going to die. My Dr. gave me a beta blocker to calm my heart. Now, I don't do coffee, tea w/caffeine. I still like choc.!!! As long as it's not the new stuff with the '100 %' cacao. (I'm exagerating a bit, with the %). Mary MOB

Very similar reaction to Advil Cold and Sinus. I couldn't sleep etc! Heart racing.

I guess you and I are very delicate gals when it comes to these products! We must read labels!!!

I havn't had any of those reactions- and I drink that stuff once in awhile- only its the soda called Guarana. But Im going to take notice now to be sure!!!
