do you ever find yourself...

just wanting to book things and do things because it will make you feel closer to the wedding?

I'm starting to get excited... but my wedding is still a year and a half away! But I just want to do things and I want to have my dress and all that so that I can visualize the day that much more clearly... I know it's probably a little early for a lot of these things, but I want to do it anyway! I've been engaged for over a year... I want to get married already!

on the other hand though, I don't want this time to go too quickly... after all, you only (in theory) get engaged once, so I want to enjoy every minute of it and do EVERYTHING!

you sound like me last year! we were engaged in march--and had most of our vendors booked by july....cause i was just SOOOOOO excited about the wedding--even if it was 1 1/2 yrs. away. but honestly--you can do it either way. i sometimes wish i had waited a little bit and spaced it all out. cause quite frankly from july - jan 06 i didn't have much to do! i had done just about everything!! my STD's are done since last year! i still have like 2-4 months to send them!

eventually if you book at lot of things now--you'll hit a 'planning plateau'--where you might have to wait awhile to plan more things. but you are not alone in your wanting to do things like RIGHT NOW. lol i feel ya!!

I feel the same way... I got engaged in Dec. and we've narrowed the reception site down but want to look at a few more places before we book. In the mean time I have been contacting all sorts of vendors to make sure I have everything in order. It's just so exciting- I can't help myself!!!
