that the amount of time and energy we put into planning a wedding is INSANE compared with the amount of time spent at the ACTUAL wedding!? i was just typing on another post about how i scheduled a makeup trial on the same day as my e-pics. obviously i had to take the day off of work since i'm traveling into queens for the trial and then back into the city for the epics in central park. and not as though i haven't thought this before, but it just sort of hit me that it's NUTS how much preparation and time and effort and POSTINGS (he he) and sleepless nights go into planning a FIVE HOUR party!!!!! i'm not saying it's not worth it. i'm just saying that some people would say we needed to get our heads checked, and there are some times that i'd have to agree!

sometimes... but the whole planning process and waiting for the short show to begin..that leads to the man of dreams and the rest of my happiness..... its soooooo all worth it

I agree...it's insane how much time I spend thinking about my wedding...if I thought half that much about my job I'd probably have made partner by now!

I compare it to the amount of preparation my mother puts into Christmas (cooking, planning, shopping, wrapping) all for one day! It's really crazy!

i honestly never had a doubt about how much time i spent on planning my wedding...until after it was done! i spent 18 months, a crap load of money, and an uncomprehendable amount of energy on 1 day that FLEW by! i actually told my lil sister the other day that if i had the chance to do it all over again, i would have done it on a beach with our immediate families in aruba so that we'd already be on our HM. dont get me wrong, i dont regret a single thing (maybe the DJ), i just cant believe how much time it took to plan 1 day!!!!
