the bride gets all the attention during this whole wedding process? I feel bad for the FH's. Whenever we have an appt, or call about anything people always direct their attention to the bride. I always tell them 'It's OUR day'...not just mine. He did get on his knee after all, and saved all his $$ for a ...so why he is not seen as an equal part of the day? Mini observation over.

I think it's because most brides are the ones making the decision and some men don't want to bother with it.

I have to agree...I always try and run the decisions by FH so he feels included, but I usually get the same answer...'whatever you want babe..it's your day'....so to test I suggested something awful and tacky for the favors and he did say no, so they do pay attention

yup i agree. i'm sure most vendors see that in the end--no matter what--it seems to be what makes the bride happy. so they know who they have to dazzle and get hooked first!

I have no idea...it's their day also. When we were booking the photographer- no one was going to the groom's house, and I asked them why not. The photographer simply said- ' The wedding is about you- not him.' I was so shocked that people see it that way. I said it's about us! Needless to say- I didn't book that photographer.

because most of the time we are running back to them with - what do you think of this? or i saw this on LIW - I want this... bla bla --- they sit back and enjoy - nod their head as they're watching tv and say whatever you want hunny - whatever makes you happy & then the day comes and they look at you & say hunny you did a fantastic job! everything is beautiful
(atleast that was my experience :)

I think its because the bride is usually the one who is most excited about it...at least in my case. DH couldnt have cared less about wedding stuff. I think it comes with being a bride...we get to wear a big white dress and a veil, while all they get to wear is a tuxedo, same as everyone else.

Re: Do you ever wonder why...
hmmm...I guess I am just having a very different experience than everybody else. FH has been awesome! He has been to just about every meeting with every vendor. Granted he really doesn't care about the little details...favors, lfowers and such, but for everything else we have been equally involved. I guess I'm still confused as to why some vendors will still address the bride when the groom is sitting right next to her. I guess I can see if she was with mom or someone else, but the groom? Don't ask me why this is bothering me today...I have no idea where all this is coming from...HAHA
