Your wedding is going to fly by so quickly and you are just going to miss everything!!!!!!
I am having a traditional 5 hour wedding and am wondering if i should have did 6 instead.
My church is at 2 and my ch is at 7, so i feel like i will have enough time for pics and then i can go to the ch..at least i can say hello to a lot of people there.
does anyone ever feel this way????

Re: do you ever worry if??????
I think that no matter how long it is, it will never be long enough. I'm just going to soak up every moment that I can, and talk about it for the rest of my life (well, at least for a while) with my fiance and our family - looking at pictures and watching our video....

any event that i have had that was focused on me, was a big blur... my sweet 16, our e-party, all blurs!!! So im counting on my wedding being a super blur... im just going to have to keep reminding myself to enjoy every moment!! that is why i also splurged on getting a video!

Re: do you ever worry if??????
Yes that's actually my biggest fear. I want to ENJOY my day. So I decided to really make an effort that morning to really take in my surroundings and appreciate everything that is happening. It's only one day and I want to REMEMBER it, not for it to be a blurr. All we can do is try to take a deep breath and enjoy every moment.

I definitly worry about that b/c of my e-party experience. I learned a lot from that, like if there's a catastrophe, don't make a scene, let someone else handle it and go have fun. And take a moment to soak in all in no once or twice but a lot of times. Look around the room a lot, and see all your hardwork come together! I think you'll have enough time because you'll be the the entire day!! Once you're done w/ all the pics and the ceremony, you can really enjoy it all!

Yes, I think about that a lot. But, its pointless to think about it, so I will just enjoy the day when it comes. It is exactly this reason we have to remember not to get totally carried away with plannng. It really is ONE day.

Yes!!! That's why it was so important for us to choose a good photographer and have a video to remember everything by!!!!!

no matter what you do....the day will fly by fast. but the important thing is that you just enjoy it.
plenty of friends of mine who are now wives, admit that they spent months (and in some cases years) planning their big day...only to have it seem almost like a blur! BUT they all admit that they enjoyed it all and treasure the memory of it.
by the time i get married, i will have planned for nearly 2 yrs., but i know it will be worth it, cause my family and friends will be there for the celebration and i will be MARRIED!!

I agree with you completely. When the party is over, all you have are your pictures

Yes, I absolutely feel like that!!!! My wedding is also 5 hours. 1 hour cocktail and 4 hour reception.... I am trying to absorb everything as a bride to be, because the actual wedding is so short.

Re: do you ever worry if??????
I had a nightmare about this recently! I was getting ready..hair..make-up and then BAM we were in our hotel room at the end of the night and I had to make him keep telling me it had really happened. In reality I am not sooo concerned but I am gonna make a point of just taking it all in and having fun.

The thought does cross my mind from time to time. I also worry that people won't show up!!! Unreasonable thoughts but I have them none the less.

FH is worried that our wedding will be TOO long (Is that Possible? ) Cocktail starts at 6:30 and Reception is from 8-1:30. (We're having the Viennese Hr) I KNOW that not EVERYONE will stay till the end, but I feel for the most part they will. I hope that it doesn't FLY by for me!
Our church is at 1:00. (Edited to add)

One bride told me the best advice she ever got was to take your husband and step back every hour and soak everything in. You don't even have to say anything. I hope I remember.

That's how I've felt. I felt disconnected at my Engagement party.
