Do you feel as things are coming together with planning?

I finally feel like things are coming together(thank mostly to really good advice on here) photo,DJ,flowers are booked....finalizing honeymoon things, dress bought, headpiece and jewelry bought...favors done....
I finally feel like I am semi organized...Now if I wasn't having a sweet 16 for my daughter 4 months prior, I would really be organized lol...I am actually feeling organized with both parties at this point....Invites,limo and hair/makeup we were able to book the same people which made it SO much easier....
Again thank goodness for this site!!!

I feel like most of the big things are booked, but I'm trying to not rush everything. I'm getting married over a year from now, and everyone keeps asking me if I bought my dress yet, or at least went shopping. Nope, not even close! I booked the venue, am booking the band tomorrow, and we have contracts with the videographer and florist that just need to be finalized and signed. We're meeting with three photographers next week and that should settle that decision. I'm trying to enjoy the 'fun' aspects-- so I'm waiting to go shopping for my dress until at least the end of this summer or early fall. I'm going to get bridesmaids dresses probably in October or so, and I'm also looking forward to meeting with the florist over the summer to get some ideas down. I have been favorite-ing some things on Etsy (cake topper, table numbers, etc.) but I want to make sure that I have fun things to order and buy a few months before the wedding. Plus your ideas/opinions can change. Why rush? This is one of the most exciting and fun parts in your life, and you only do it once!

Love this!!! Definitely enjoy the fun aspects. Yes it's a lot of appointments and decision making but you have a lot of big checks taken care of. Enjoy the ride because before you now it your big day will be right around the corner.

I'm like summerbridejen definitely got on top of everything and feel comfortable where I am at. I know I get married next winter but now is the prime time to look and book everything. Most vendors give a deal if you book early. I guess one can call me somewhat of a perfectionist but, if we are spending this type of money I want things done right. Venue, DJ, photographer/videographer, florist, and officiant are all booked. My Day of Coordinator will officially be booked by the end of the month. I just don't like to procrastinate or just have things hanging.

I don't think I said I'm not booking the vendors-- those things are DEFINITELY important. I'm getting those all done before the end of May (still over a year before the wedding). The only one I have left is to find a photographer, but I have 3 appointments set up next week. I'm just not buying any of the little stuff or the fun stuff-- dress, bridesmaids dresses, cake topper, etc. until it gets closer. This should be fun. Why rush?
