Do you feel like you may be too excited about your wedding? (long)

I was really excited about the wedding. But then after a while, i almost felt like i talked about it too much. And one of my BM had a baby, and she would say, oh, weddings are nothing once you realize what a miracle having a baby is. And other people seem to get bored about my wedding banter. I think outloud alot, or ask peoples advice, and I just think sometimes they don't want to hear it anymore.

So a few months ago I stoped talking about the wedding for a while. Stopped going on here for a bit. And stopped planning. Or if I was thinking about wedding stuff, never told anyone.

Now I feel like perhaps I am missing out on getting things done because I don't want to bother people. FH has tons to do because he graduates in Dec, he took on other activities, and he is trying to find a job.

Is any of this going on with you guys?

I went through something similar! I was so excited and the wedding was all I could talk about. However, I was planning my wedding at a hard time. I lost my grandmother and FIL during the planning. It was what made me most happy, so I focused on it. I know I annoyed people, or people got sick of it, but I still say that it happens only once. Enjoy the planning, and the talking about it!

Try not to let others get you down. I was soo excited about my wedding from the day DH asked me to marry him. I know people got sick of hearing me talk about the wedding, but at that time, it was the most important thing and most exciting thing in my life. Now that its over, I miss it but love all the new things in life to be excited about. Enjoy every minute of it, this is a big time in your life and you have every right to be overly excited. It only happens once!!!

Just ignore people. Maybe they are jealous. I got this attitiude from another bride. Turns out she was engaged before me but her date is after mine. We are just aquaintences so it's not like I stole her thunder. I'm the last of my friends and family to get married (at 34), never thought it was going to happen there for a while so sorry, but everyone has to let me have my moment in the sun now. You deserve yours as well.
