Like your origninal instinct is that the person is 'nice' but in reality they are a snake?

i feel that people think that way about me. i am reallllly nice, but push me and i do get pissed. but there are those people who are never ever genuine and yes, i don't trust them.

Me too. If I care about someone, I care ALOT. I'm very black/white and rarely are there shades of grey. I'm also very good at 'feeling' people, if you know what I mean. I think some people must have a hard time wearing both masks sometimes...

I feel this way about many of the people I work with unfortuntely. Nice to your face but waiting to stab you in the back.

Move to Southern California- EVERYONE acts this way at first. You have to weed out the truly nice from the backstabbers. It took me forever to figure that out as an outspoken, truthful NY girl.

Yes, there was this girl in school once. Everybody trusted her, because she was incredibly nice to their face, then she'd say stuff behind their back and lie and backstab and when they would confront her, she'd deny it, be super nice and they'd go back to trusting her and the cycle would begin all over. I would never deal with her no matter how nice she was to me.

i like to think that i am a pretty good judge of character, however my instincts have been known to lead me astray...

it takes a lot to earn my trust. i initially give people the benefit of the doubt, however i start off pretty guarded. actions speak louder than words, and i 'judge' people not only how they treat me, but how they treat others...

Yes but my instincts are usually right... sometimes when a person is too nice I can get suspiciious!
