i would register for things you like now. sure, some things get discontinued, but a lot of things have been on my registry for over a year now. in fact, most of them are still available at the store. you'll start getting engagement gifts and during the holidays some people like to shop off your list as well. it's nice to get something off your registry.

I don't think it's too early. FH and I haven't registered yet, but many girls on here have already.

Re: do you girls think its
I did it already because my FMIL said other family members were asking -- plus we're having an e-party at the end of july (i think) so what the heck. I will update it here and there, and check for any discontinued items.

I am afraid of the same thing. I want to wait until it's at least 6 months before the wedding to open up a registry. I do not want to get any presents before my shower..just my own thing. I defintely do not want china..so many people do it, I guess because it's tradition...my mom always buys holiday plates and settings and has such a nice spread for guests. I am going to do the same thing so do not find any need for china. My FH is hilarious, he says, 'What are we middle-aged that we need china?' I do love him! LMAO *JMO*

Re: do you girls think its
i dont think its too early. I did it a few months ago, but we only did 1 place so far.
For our e-party everyone gave cash, we had like 2 people who couldn't make it and sent us the gifts.
Then for x-mas his brother bought us stuff off the registry and it was GREAT, he bought me the homedics massage cushion and he bought FH the ipod home speaker system so its things we can use now.
You can always update it at anytime, i add things alot online to my registry.
Also i didnt want to leave it when it was too close to the wedding...it took a couple of hours to register and to have 3 places to do gets tiring. Im glad its out of the way but still have to find time when we both have available to go to 2 other places and be able to spare a couple of hours there
