Do you have a bumper in the crib?
My son slept in his crib for the first time last night. I know some of you suggest not putting on the bumper. Just wondering if you put the bumper in or left it off? Thanks.

I have a bumper. Yesterday I took it off to wash it and I had Tara in the crib playing and she got her foot caught between the slats. I had actually been thinking about taking it off but decided to put it back on after that. I remember when I took Lukies off he boinked his head a few times and also had his foot caught once or twice as well. But he was a little older and pulling up so I was afraid he would yank it off and get tangled or pull up on it and actually somehow be able to go over the side. As long as it is tied on tightly, it should still be fine when the baby is still small.
We're thinking of taking Andrew's off his crib now. His matress is on the lowest level because he is pulling himself up, but I sill have the bumpers in. But when I was checking up on him the other day, I noticed he was pulling them down and using them as a pillow. Even though they are tied, he still managed to do that. I'm still so undecided because they really make the crib look so much nicer, but if he continues to do that, I'll have to take them out.
I didn't. She is five months now so maybe I will start using but I'm not sure, I just want to be on the safe side.
We have the bumper on....she's been in the crib since about 5 weeks old and doing fine, no problems with the bumper so far. She's 5 1/2 months and not sitting up in the crib yet.
We have the bumper in the crib. Our little guy has been in his crib since he was 3 weeks old and hasn't had any problems so far (he's 4 months old now). Of course he's not rolling around yet either. I do know he likes to look at the pictures on it when he wakes up though. Also, I have it tied to 3 sides of the crib (the back and the sides). I didn't put it on the front of the crib because it slides up and down, I can see him better, and he can look around his room some more.
