Do you have a Groomzilla?!?

Do you have a Groomzilla?!?

FH is making me laugh! He was saying to me well, all the girls are going to have the same hair and nails right?! And I said, no, I don't care about that (I'm only having a MOH and 2 BMs), as long as their nails are a light color and no crazy colors. He went on to try to explain to me why they should all be the same He was very adamant! I love him

Do any of you girls have a Groomzilla on your hands?!

LOL YES!!

But in a good way, he's wanted to be a partof everything we've booked so far.... we even didn't go with the (cheaper) florist I wanted bc he liked the flowers at the other place better!

We've gotten most of the major stuff done now though so he's been better lately.

He also said that if people are boring or don't dance he's going to kick them out of our wedding.

Sometimes my FH goes ZILLA on me, but then I have to put him in his place and remind him, that their is only room for one ZILLA MEEEEEEE.

HAHA Exactly! I love how he'll tell our friends how I'm a bridezilla (which is only true SOMEtimes hehe) but behind closed doors his true self comes out Can't say I don't love it though - he has been completely a part of every aspect of this wedding, including driving me towards a strapless gown since he mentioned in passing how he loves those! Our FHs are the BEST!

Re: Do you have a Groomzilla?!?

YES...but not in the sense that he wants to flipping do anything! He gets very difficult whenever I try to talk to him about the wedding. He's very out of touch with reality, and thinks that the going rates for all the vendors are astronomically expensive, and then he starts flipping out (granted they ARE astronomically expensive, but what can we do?). He also thinks I'm being ridiculous that I want to book the major vendors within the next 2 months, because we're not getting married till 12/09. He doesn't realize a) vendors book up to 2 years in advance and b) vendors raise their prices for the new year!

God help me.

at times YES!! He makes sure he goes to all vendor appts and he reads the contracts before we sign over and over and asks soo many questions and has them write down specifics He's been researching HM places recently and hes driving me crazy with all the things we have to do if we go to certain places

Re: Do you have a Groomzilla?!?

Haha not at all...I have something FAR from a Groomzilla. FH is doing the bare min with planning. Hehe I prefer it that way. I would be going crazy if he was around that much with the planning

Not too much..... at least yet. LOL. So far he's trying to act like a typical guy and be all cool about it.... but once we're alone...he starts asking all these little details... I LOOOVE IT!!

Re: Do you have a Groomzilla?!?

Hes starting to act like one. I was on the phone talking about a problem I had with one of my BM'S and I heard him mumble under his breathe something about taking control of something and I had to remind him that this is our Wedding. We both have imput for it.

Yes, I can relate. I have a total groomzilla. He already had a say in EVERYTHING we booked, from STD to flowers to food at the RH and the color scheme! He told me that we would like all the girls in the same dress and he wants them in the same makeup and jewerly! lol. He even told me which dress style to buy because he likes it (mermaid) lol. I didnt get a mermaid cause it looked bad on me actually but I got a dropped waist trumpet gown, so it kind of looks like a mermaid! lol

lol yes! it's funny though. He doesn't really care about the vendors we booked so far, photo/video and dj and hell even the damn RH, but he got so into the STD magnets we DIY'd making sure they were perfect and even printed had them printed at work so they were nice and 'glossy' lol.

THen our Eparty he was sooo into the details of the food and making sure everything was set up right... so I think I have a fun ride ahead of me lol.

I think he is just loving being the center of attention.

Re: Do you have a Groomzilla?!?

Not sure if I have a groomzilla in my hands...maybe if he lived closer he would be. FH is stationed in Alaska, but from time to time I ask him what he's up to and he tells me that he's on The Knot!! So I'm starting to wonder what the heck he's doing there...he says he went on cause he needed honeymoon advice since it's a surprise and I have no idea where we're going. He's too funny!

No...but ask takingthelongway about her groomzilla. In her speech one of the MOH said that he was the first ever groomzilla they had ever encountered.
