Im assuming almost everyone has a junk drawer in the kitchen, for things like: *'I'll read this junk mail another day' *Scotch tape *Pens *Coupons and *Junk !
I was talking to a friend of mine, who has a house thats ALWAYS in 'showroom' condition, and I jokingly said to her when she said 'wait lemme get a pen' (to take down a #) I said 'OH WOW you have a junk drawer ???' and she said 'no, actually I dont !!'
I exploded laughing and then saying 'where do you put little junk things ???' LOL.

I always swore that I would not allow myself to have a junk drawer, but as hard I tried it was inevitable. Also, what was suppose to be our guest room quickly turned into a junk room.

I feel like I have a junk table. My dining room table has become my place for everything. Its high enough that Emma cant grab everything off of it.

I am trying to clean out all my 'junk' to make room for FH! I always feel that I have so many papers around. It drives me crazy!

sheesh, i feel normal again.
Im never visiting this persons house again. LOL. Im talking: you can lick the floors you will NEVER NEVER EVER find a piece of paper or keys or coffee mug on the table. (or ANYTHING out of place) Everything is arranged as if no one lived there Everything is always 1,000% spotless, orderly, in and out of closets, cupboards, everything. Bathrooms, not a waterspot, not a crooked towel, not even a toothbrush or handsoap to be seen. (never figured out why one would NOT put soap in the dispenser ??!!) its empty-just for show. kids rooms are like The Brady Bunch kids. Perfect little girl and little boy room, nothing out of place.ever.
So when I go over, throw my bag on the floor, change John Anthony on their beds, and leave a glass of water on the table, and then John Anthony drools on their floor, I imagine they might be having heart failure until I leave... LOLL....
WOW, it pays to have husband and wife to be NEUROTIC when it comes to being clean and orderly. Her hubby cleans more than her Im jealous ! Where do you get one of those ?
So now i dont feel so bad having a junk drawer

We have a junk drawer in the kitchen - notepads, pens, rubberbands, matches, etc.
We also have 2 junk bedrooms in the house. Filled with crap that we are storing until we finish renovating the house.
no drawer for junk in our kitchen...so I have a junk pot...an empty flower pot...lol
We bought a set of drawers for DHs desk...all of them are junk drawers!!

Oh boy... I find this hysterrical. *I'm* the friend with the immaculate house, but I DO have a junk drawer (and let me add that it's over flowing. ). I have to have a clean, neat house. My friends keep popping over to 'catch' me being messy, and are always disappointed.
The reason for this is simple. I skeeve a dirty house, and feel out of sorts in clutter, yet I HATE to clean. My secret is to constantly stay on top of things so that I never spend too long cleaning. I also have a very neat and helpful dh, which helps. I have no problem with friends and family coming over and making themselves at home at my house, in fact I welcome and love it. I have no qualms about glasses on the end table and babies making a mess, and anything else that may happen because people are enjoying themselves (I hope!). But, when I'm here alone, everything is put away so I don't have to clean up after myself. Did that make sense?? I feel like I rambled forever and said nothing!

Jenn, Thats funny that you hate cleaning. I thought you 'clean freaks' loved it, LOL. My sister walks into anyones house and grabs windex and paper towels. ! I HATE cleaning too, but I get it done. But somehow cleaning up after a husband and now a baby too, I cant keep up sometimes ! Whatever room I clean, if he steps in, there will always be something of his to pick up, throw out, or put away ! My goal is to not have to do too much cleaning or laundry on the weekends. So I do it day to day. Im sure that will change when I get a job

I have 2 drunk drawers in the kitchen a couple of junk baskets (filled to the top) a junk computer desk and a junk closet (aka my closet)... I need someone to teach me how to organize my crap!!!
