Like did you write numbers on either the envelope or on the back of the actual RSVP to help you keep track???

I did this last time & wrote a small number in pencil on back of invite to correspond w/ my list b/c you'd be surprised at how many people check '2 will attend' & don't fill in their names.

Someone was on here last week looking for a black light pen to add the numbers so your guests wouldn't see the number.

I'm going to do it, in pencil, lightly on the lower back corner of response cards and index this with my invite list. I've heard from almost everyone that you're going to get responses back with no name. This way you'll know who it is!

Yes...as the ladies above suggested, definitely use a pencil and lightly write the number in the back of the RSVP card or envelope. Then match the number it with your invite list. I got tons of no name responses and a few 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' when all of DH's family members had the same last name. It was a lifesaver!

we made a spreadsheet. the number that was on the spreadsheet was what we put on the back of the card. it was so much easier to track

I wrote a # in pencil on the back of the RSVP card. So far its been a non-issue, everyone has wrote their names legibly.

We put a number inside the envelope-nobody could tell it was even there.

Though, as it turns out, we didn't end up needed it because everyone wrote their name.

I initially bought the black light pen but it didn't work. I got it at circuit city. If you go this route, I would recommend testing.

I had planned to do this, but when it came down to crunch time....I didn't do it. I mailed my invites out yesterday. I'll probably kick myself in the *** later on for not doing this.

I wrote a number on the back on each RSVP pretty small, I bet most people didn't even notice. So far everyone's written their names so I haven't had to refer to the list, but I'm glad I did it just in case!!

I recently rec'd an invitation and on the folded RSVP card, inside, there was this number, 83. I couldn't figure out for the longest time, until my FMIL told me about it. Very smart.

Yes, I numbered the back and made a corresponding spreadsheet with name and number and yes/no, gift given, etc. I'm the ultimate Excel girl. haha!
