Re: Do you have to do the 'garter' thing?
We aren't doing it bc we only have a couple of single people attending & I don't want to put them on the spot!

Re: Do you have to do the 'garter' thing?
my SIL did that. They did a bo-k toss but no garter toss :)
You can do whatever you guys want to do
We ended up doing both tosses and had ALL guys and girls come up to catch. (we only had one single person) and the guy who caught the garter danced with me and the girl who caught the bo-k danced with DH. It was really cute

We are going to toss the bouquet off the church stairs - the old-fashioned way.

I'm not planning on doing the garter or bo-k thing either...
did anyone not do the whole introduction thing either? I'm trying to figure out how that would work....
Thanks!

No bouquet toss or garter, just anniversary dance!

We didn't do bouquet or garter toss and did not get introduced. We were at the CH, so when the adjoining door was opened into the reception room, we just walked in with everyone else. No hoopla, just not our style

we did it this way and it was fine. actually it worked out quite well bc my gay friend caught the bouquet (that might have made for an awkward garter toss )

We didn't do either. DH is also shy and didn't want all that attention to be drawn to us (as it wasn't anyway). Besides, we had such a small wedding and there were only a handful of single people and we didn't want to single anyone out. No one even noticed it, plus it gave us extra time to dance.

You definitely don't have to do it. We're not doing either.

Re: Do you have to do the 'garter' thing?
You should do whatever you want.
But I think a lot of people will think its wierd that you did the bouquet but no garter.
If you don't do either... thats more passable.
But it is YOUR wedding in the end.

Do whatever you want to do. We're doing the bo-k toss, but not the garter toss.
