do you invite the bridal party with dates to the rehearsal dinner?
just curious because FH was in a bridal party last year & I wasn't invited...My best friend's boyfriend is in one & she went to their dinner last night. just wondering what proper ettiquette is & or is it necessary.
ps I wasn't invited to the shower either which I thought was pretty messed up too..oh well no gift for that (bride)zilla! haha

I am if they are in a relationship. But people like FSIL and FBIL are not in relationships, so they'll be invited to the RD alone, but to the wedding with a guest.

We are having a relatively small BP (4 guys, 3 girls). All of the guys are married, so they will be invited to the RD with their spouses. FSIL (one of the BMs) is married so of course, she will be invited with her husband. Neither one of my sister (the other 2 BMs) are married. One sister is in a 'serious' relationship, the other isn't. However, they will both be invited to the RD and the wedding with dates. Whether or not they choose to bring dates is up to them.

I think we are.
Only because the BP is small, so there is only ONE person without an SO - so I feel bad not inviting her with one. Who knows she may have one by April though!
We are also having a lot of OOT guests at the RD, so they are going to obvs. bring their guests, I can't just leave out my one BM.

I am inviting everyone with a guest. If they are bringing someone to the wedding, that person should be included in the RD.

eta: were only inviting people with a date if they are in a relationship.

No dates unless they are in a serious relationship.... FH and I simply cant afford it...if we had the cash or if we had our parents helping out we would let everyone bring a date...

We're only inviting the BP who is in serious relationships to the RD. We have a large bridal party and a small room for the rehearsal dinner.

I was just at a wedding last wedding where FH was the best man and there was no arrangement made for me at the RD. As a matter of fact, none of the bridal parties spouses or significant others were accounted for and we were traveling from out of town. I thought that was pretty tasteless and I learned that i will give my bridal party the option to bring a guest. I will ask ahead of time and make the necessary arrangements. FH ended up sitting at a seperate table with me and the rest of the 'outsiders' !!! A bunch of the bridal party decided to sit with their spouses/significant others as well...it was a HOT MESS! (lol)....But I learned from their mistake!

45 people???!!! haha..omg..I figured..coz remember how we weren't invited last year?? I was really offended but then I thought maybe we're not supposed to be invited..but now I just take it where it came from..if u know what I mean...haha ps I miss u xoxo...& all of your 'aww's' haha

omg so the significant others weren't invited but went anyway or you were & they just put you at seperate tables??..either way that's horrible! what's wrong with people??!!

I invited everyone to my wedding with a guest so I did the same with my RD. If they are invited to the wedding with a guest I think then the same should go for the RD.
I invited also a few close family members not in the BP.

We invited BP with guest, regardless of if they were in a relationship. Some people are sensitive. However, DH was in a wedding and no guests were invited. I thought it was rude but there were 24 people in the bridal party, not including the bride and groom and their parents. It's understandable. You need a big room and it can get pretty expensive.

haha yea its crazzyy i know!! there are 24 people all together in the bp, including fg's. then if people are in a relationship were inviting them. i also have the parents and my aunt and uncle bc my aunt is singing lol. im getting stressed thinking about it lol, im sure it will be fun though haha.
i know, i was really offended too. i actually thought it was a mistake and gerard double checked to see if i was invited but obv not lol.
