our deacon is coming (he's my uncle) and also invited our priest but he's not coming

Yes, we are inviting him as well as pretty much all the deacons at the church since my father is one and is very close with the rest. It will be a very Holy day!
We are inviting my Rabbi and his wife to the reception.

We had talked about it, but never actually invited him until DH decided to ask him at the RD. He said yes and came- we were very happy to have him there since he had married my parents 36 years ago and baptized me and my brothers

we did, but he is close to our family...been to all sorts of parties for me, so it was absolutely expected...glad he came too
