I am worried about embarassing myself or my mom when I don't remember who is who...especially at the shower... because all eyes are on me. Any tips?

I don't know some of the ppl my grandma invited and FH doesn't know a lot of ppl his parents invited (they invited everyone under the sun.)
I'm scared to walk into a big room of ppl and thank them for coming when I have no clue who they are.

I know them all by sight but, there are two fo my mom's cousins, sisters, that look nothing alike, and for some reason I forget which one is which. I usually don't address them by name but, I introduced my FH to them backwards at a family wedding and felt pretty dumb.
Just go up and say hi, how are you, and don't address them by name if you can get away with it.

I still confuse my Dad's side of the family b/c I see them so rarely!!! Just smile and ask - they shouldn't feel offended and you can try a word association to remember their name or how they are related.

There are members of my family who, if they came up and slapped me in my face, I wouldn't know who they are! Maybe I'll make everyone wear name tags! I'm SO bad with names, too!!!

Sorry, I have a huge family, and I know all of the 143 people being invited from my side...scary isn't it? then we have another 50 on his side who he nor I know...lol

If I were you I would try to memorize their names beforehand. It would be great if you could get pictures of them that way you have some idea.

Know, but I pretend like I do and like they are my favorite one's each time. Usually they will at least say, 'oh I remember you when you were this little' and you can build on that...

That happened to me at my e-party, I was so scared b/c FH family is so big and everyone is named some sort of Joe, Joey, Joseph, Joe G, Uncle Joe, etc. But when it came down to it, everyone was just so excited and came to me and wished us well and commented on the party or my dress, so there was no need for names.

At my shower, I had to keep sneaking in the bathroom and calling my FH to remember people's names. It was pretty bad.
