Do you know the answer??????????? I'm clueless about places to get married on LI
Hi Everyone, My FH and I finally went to a few RHs yesterday in Montauk/Hamptons. Nothing worked out for us. They were really great on the outside, but mediocre on the inside. I have three questions that I was really hoping you could answer:
1. Is there any facility's on Long Island that is beautiful inside and out on the beach? We want to feel like we are getting married on vacation. A hotel near it would even be better.
2. IS there any castle themed places that have a water landscape?
3. Does anyone know of luxury hotels on Long Island? (I'm familiar with Garden City Hotel and East Wind). Are there any others?

I don't know if your stuck on the east end of LI but Oheka Castle on the North Shore (just outside of Huntington) of LI has a view of the sound from the castle, has beautiful gardens, the food if fabulous, and has rooms available for guests. My husband and I went to a wedding their in August of 05 and stayed in the castle overnight, it was the most comfortable bed I've ever been in. Check out there website because I believe they were opening a spa in 07. For my husband and I, we felt like we were on vacation in Paris staying there. Good Luck!

Thank you so much!! We are going to a showcase there on November 1st. I think it may be out of our league, but I was told they may be a little flexible. I'm really hoping it works out. I'm not stuck having a wedding on the East End...I just love the idea of a beach resort theme....I'm totally flexible.

Oheka for sure if you are looking for a castle.
Did you look at Atlantica in Westhampton Beach? carolinebr had her's there and it looked fantastic! Also the Crescent Beach Club is lovely.
How many people are you going to invite? that may narrow it down a lot.

Try lands end in Sayville...it is beautiful and right on the water...and also Atlantica is BEAUTIFUL!! I would have totally booked either of those places if I could afford them. Good luck!!

If you are looking for an indoor venu Atlantica is pretty inside...they are located on Dune Rd and on the ocean... Atlantica
Not sure if you'd want a tent wedding or not but i got married at The Inn Spot on the Bay in Hampton Bays...(their restuarant is too small to have it indoors) but they are located right on the water with a large lawn..and did a perfect tent wedding for us! Pics in albums & review.

if you're open to heading out to the western part of LI, check out the crescent beach club. it's on the beach and the inside is just as nice as the outside. i originally looked out east and found the same issue you mentioned, but the crescent beach club was perfect! i haven't written my review yet, cause i still don't have my proofs, but it was amazing. check out hayleyandsteve's review - she got married there also. HTH!

The Cresent Beach Club is on the water/beach....Bayville North shore. They do ceremonies outside, cocktail hour outside etc. I went to a wedding there this summer it was great. The cocktail was just ok (maybe the package the bride/groom picked) but the entree was GREAT.

Check out Trumpets at The Gate. It looks beautiful!! I saw the website and looks so gorgeous.

How bout the new Trump place opening by Jones beach...supposedly its supposed to be georgous and open this spring? I am not positive though..

Check out Venetian Yacht club. It's right on the water, and all of the rooms have huge panaramic windows, it is sooooooo gorgeous. I knew I wanted to have my reception near the beach or right on the water, and I looked at Crescent Beach Club, and the Venetian, and I fell in love with the venetian, and the prices are reasonable too! Hope this helps!!

We almost booked there. We looked at Gurneys and some other places out there too...
